Culture is a sneaky thing.  It has seeped into the leadership of the church here in 2011 and it has been for more than 200 years. Paul writes the letter to the Galatian churches to help to fight against “culture” becoming too important…it had become the driving force in churches in the region of Galatia.

Today we should be fighting the same fight. Unfortunately, like the people living in Galatia, we are often blind to culture seeping into church leadership. So today we focus on the “should”—the do’s and don’ts for followers of Christ. Lucky for us, Paul says that is not what the Gospel is about! The Gospel is about Jesus…noting more, just Jesus. Jesus plus anything is not only watering down His power, but it also makes the people in the church modern day Pharisees.

While going through the book of Galatians, we will be discussing grace and how to make sure Catalyst fights the good fight so that we will win the race set before us.
