What to Expect

Here's a little bit about what you can expect when you visit Catalyst's Sunday morning service for the first time. Generally speaking, we are a laid-back, fun-loving group. Our hope is that you feel comfortable with us and that you leave feeling refreshed and challenged.

Where We Are

It may look like a High School…but on Sundays, it's our church! We meet in the auditorium of Northwest High School. We have a large road sign in front of the school, as well as a large sign by the auditorium entrance. You can't miss us.

Just Relax

As you arrive, our friendly greeters will welcome you and hand you a bulletin. That'll give you some insight into who we are and what we have going on. Feel free to grab some complimentary coffee from our café and mingle with friends or have a seat in the auditorium. We also have free Bibles and books at the Connection Table, if you're interested

Worship

Our Sunday morning services incorporate various forms of worship, including music and singing, communion, offering, video, personal testimonies, preaching, etc. We feel strongly that each of these activities is worship, if done with the right attitude.

Music

Our music is upbeat and is performed by talented musicians. Typically, it's rock and may even include songs you hear on your favorite mainstream radio stations. That said, we also enjoy occasional acoustic sets and utilize a variety of instruments, including cello, djembe, or cajon box drums. Regardless of the song set, our purpose is always to provide an environment in which people can connect with God.

Communion

Communion is a time in which we remember the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. This was modeled by Jesus (Matt. 26:26-29) and practiced by the early Church whenever they gathered, so we do it each Sunday, as well. If you'd like to participate, simply take the bread and juice as it's passed down the aisle and eat/drink whenever you're ready.

Offering

God blesses us when we give, and we consider giving an act of worship. During service, a bucket will be passed for tithes and offering. You'll also find a CONNECTION CARD in your bulletin. Relationships are so important to us - we want to care for you! So please fill that out and drop it in the offering bucket, as well.

The Message

Our messages are informative and Bible-based. They are applicable and challenging to everyone - whether you've grown up in the church or you're just checking it out for the first time. Feel free to bring a Bible, grab a complimentary one off the Connection Table as you enter, or just sit and listen.

Your Kids

While your kids are certainly welcome to attend the adult worship service with you, they'll probably be happier joining in the catalystKIDS Children's Ministry, which provides exciting programming for kids birth through fifth grade.
